Dunamis Project 6 : Listening Evangelism
Jesus came in order to reconnect people with the God who made and loves us. He brought the hope of a new, never-dying life; a restored relationship and a life of purpose within his Kingdom.
He said that he alone is the one who can bring us back into relationship with our heavenly Father. And he sends his church to tell others about this great news. We are his messengers.
But what often stands in the way is a nervousness or fear that you'll get it wrong, mess up a friendship, or worse. For some, it's a paralysing fear. This Dunamis event will help you find a natural and fearless way into more faith-sharing conversations in the course of everyday life.
Learning from the example of the early church, we will look at how Christians today can cooperate with the Holy Spirit in helping people discover the good news about Jesus Christ for themselves. Through Biblical teaching, practical experience and thoughtful reflection, we look forward to seeing people equipped and anointed by God to be part of this.
- Overview of God’s vision for evangelism
- Developing practical skills for sharing the gospel
- Being equipped by the Holy Spirit for our roles in this work
Join us for this important event ...and discover what God can do through you !
Gateways Catch-Up Day
Saturday 16th June 2018 - 10am to 4pm
'Gateways to Empowered Ministry' is foundational for the whole of Dunamis. This one-day event is a useful opportunity to catch up with the core teaching, especially for participants who join the series after the first event. We strongly recommend seizing this opportunity, and also welcome those who would simply like a refresher.
Please let the Booking Administrator know by 20th May if you'll be coming. Bring a Bible, a packed lunch, and £8 for the Gateways manual if you do not already have one. Drinks will be provided.
Including food & Student Manual:
- £80 (before the end of July)
- £90 after 31 July
Please note that this is a non-residential event, and you will need to arrange your own accommodation nearby. Details of local accommodation can be sent if requested.
The price covers only the venue expenses, a student Manual, and any administrative costs. Dunamis is a faith ministry run by volunteers (including the teachers and leadership team). Offerings are invited at every event to help further the vision by helping with ministry and leadership expenses and supporting the development of the Dunamis Project worldwide.
Bursary assistance may be available: enquiries - and donations - to the bookings administrator.
Ministers are encouraged to seek a denominational training grant, and to include an element for Dunamis speakers’ expenses.
